The family of Miss Seattle 2016, Joell Posey Grager, graciously sponsors a scholarship available to contestants participating in the Miss Seattle Scholarship Competition. Joell has faced many challenges throughout her life and has always fought hard to persevere with a smile on her face. If there is an obstacle preventing her from moving forward, she finds a way to go around it. This award will be presented to the Teen or Miss contestant who has demonstrated perseverance in her life and/or throughout her preparation for this competition and comes with a $250 Scholarship.

General Requirements

• The applicant must be a Teen or Miss contestant in the Miss Seattle Scholarship Competition.

• The applicant must complete the application, including a brief essay.

 

Deadline

• Completed application form must be received no later than one week, 5 business days, before the start of the competition.

Note: This award is selected by the Seattle Scholarship Organization Board of Directors. The competition judges will not see the applications and do not select the recipient.
